Snow: Great for real life, Terrible for Fantasy

It's been a while since we've had a game day thread, so I thought I would throw this out there.

I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of low scores this week.

  1. If I would have actually made the playoffs I probably would have been very pissed to see my best player, Calvin Johnson, neutralized by the snow in an otherwise great WR matchup.

  2. I got screwed by the snow, in my opinion. Torry Smith against the Vikes should have been gold (15-20 pts) and Burleson vs a pourous philly pass d (10-15). Granted, I probably still would lose even if they each put up the 15 I was expecting. Charles freaking Clay put up 21 against me, so it probably was not meant to be anyway.

    1. If you're counting on Burleson in the playoffs you deserve to lose. I mean the guy managed 0 points against a porous Green Bay secondary that has actually given up more yards-per-pass and TDs than Philly. Even in a good match up he is still a bad player that isn't worth starting.

    2. FYI, a lot of places ranked Burleson as a top 30 WR this week. Not all of us can start Calvin and DeShawn every week and still miss the playoffs, you know. I don't think I deserved to lose for starting him, but it was a long shot.

  3. Record setting day for Total TD's scored in the NFL, so your theory didn't exactly pan out...

  5. I was talking about fantasy scores, but even that didn't really hold up. I guess I was the only guy who played only guys on the East coast.
