Gentlemen,
Very busy day today. And didn't get home til late yesterday. So, not a whole lot of goodies today...
Andy Crapswell (57.20) vs. Ned Titwarmer (65.92)
- Ned leads, but don't let that fool you. He is done. With 66 points... much to the chagrin of the teams left out of the playoffs.
- Andy's highest scoring player is currently Charles Clay. That should be a damning sentence, but it's actually not...
- Andy need a combined 9 points from McCown, Forte, Murray, and Bailey. I don't even think jinxing is possible. Andy is a 99% favorite on Yahoo.
Juan Coconuts (109.12) vs. NooShoo Gow (78.78)
- A surprisingly competitive match between two teams with negative-scoring Defenses.
- Juan got quite the boost from Brady with 2 TD's in about a minute. And every player on his team thus far has scored a TD.
- Meanwhile Gow also produced a strong week despite starting Alex Smith and losing Gronk. Still, he has an uphill battle tonight.
- Juan has Alshon. Gow has Dez and Bob Gould. While I do think Juan is the favorite, I think Yahoo's 92% projection seems a little high.
Per Yahoo's projections, next week's semifinals will be:
- Juan Coconuts (4) vs. Kenni Hana (1)
- Andy Crapswell (3) vs. Rod Jerks (2)
Both Juan and Andy have not won the title before, and combined they have just one Championship appearance (Juan in 2012). They will be the sentimental favorites.
Tonight
I'll be there. Probably not staying for the whole game, but I'll be there hopefully long enough to watch Jeffrey and Dez score 18 points combined (Dad's league).
Juan, Gow, Andy, Ed: two of you will be finished after tonight. I expect to see you all there. It's been a pleasure.
See you tonight, dudes.
Hey Dallus, Bill, and Crabs - how about updating your team name sometime this century?
ReplyDeleteOnly if the season continues with a loser playoff, otherwise forget it. Did we not discuss this last year at the final MNF game? I thought we did. I know I'll be taking home the L'Asst place trophy and that's fine, but I would just like to point out how badly Ned deserves to take it home this year. For one, he finished last in the season's power rankings. Secondly, he harasses me on the blog about it. That's fine if anyone else ranked above last in power rankings wants to harass me, but Ned's just a lucky bastard to not win it. Thirdly, nice sixty-some point game in the playoffs. I had two players alone score sixty points this week all for naught. But whatever, I'll be displaying the trophy in my house for the next 9 months. If anyone is up for loser bracket games the next two weeks (with no LAsst place implications) lets set it up. It's always nice to keep the season alive a couple more weeks just for the hell of it.
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ Dallus... sounds like you already have your team name, just update it already... Ned's Jewish Luck
DeleteOk, Dallas. Funny how you bring up the loser's bracket this year when you're in last place. Last year, I was the only one who thought the loser of the consolation bracket should get the trophy...
ReplyDeleteAlso, why does everyone feel the need to pick on my team this year? Yes, I've had an easy schedule and have scored the lowest points. But I still beat 6 of you. Of my 6 wins, only 1 has been by under 10 points (6.26) so it's not like I eeked out those victories. Also, of my losses, one was by 1.36 and another by 4.8. I could have had 2 more wins.
If we're just going to hand out the trophy to whoever we feel "earned" it, then that's fine. We can take a vote, and if I get it, I get it. However, let's remind people who didn't attend the draft and who hasn't been changing team names...

ReplyDelete2013 Last Place in Power Rankings: Ned - 6.23
2012 Last Place in Power Rankings: Whitebread - 7.15
While we're at it, can we just give the grand prize to the team who had the highest power ranking? What's that you say, my team was #1 in the power rankings? Neat!!
