So here's the deal: I'm not a big fan of the rotating, decide the day of, lets try this place, MNF. I like to be able to know where I'm going well in advance so I have enough time to plan on it.
Let's start working on next week (and hopefully, all weeks).
For those that have been experimenting: have you found a place that you would want to go again? For those that haven't been able to make it out: would there be a place that you would suggest (and make it out)? If we're just going to rotate, I'm not opposed to locales that are closer to those with parental obligations.
What criteria are we looking for in a bar? TV's, drink specials, easy to find? (Marcus, don't even pull that "beer selection" crap. Every bar has about 3 "craft" beers on tap these days) Personally, I just want to be able to see/hear the game and not get yelled at by mgmt when Juan and/or Marcus get arguing.
I know certain people won't like my suggestions because they are chains, but what about the BW3 on Campus? Or Sensors in Roseville. They have plenty of TV's and will have audio.
Please discuss in the comments below.
I vote a return to the new "free beer" establishment, aka - Pourhouse.
ReplyDeleteYeah Ned, you weren't there but Pourhouse is basically Sally's 2.0. Actually it's more like Sally's 0.5. It's a poor mans Sally's.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, they have free beer for the 1st Quarter and $0.35 wings. Plus like the biggest TV in the city. It's been decided. That's where we go.
Hey guys! What about Spin Night Club? I'm on their website again if you want to check it out...
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't anyone say that they had free beer? Now that you mention it, I think the owner of Sally's owns Spin (pourhouse).
ReplyDeleteBars only have 3 Craft beers on tap?.?.maybe in Fridley. Real bars carry more than just Miller, Bud and Coors.
ReplyDeleteThe rotation was in place until we found a new worthy establishment. That establishment is Pourhouse.
After all of this excitement. I probably won't be there tonight. I caught a cold.
